In
this about a fight between two different races, “The Millers” and “The Reds.” “The
Millers,” is a group from the New England mill town named “Acton” and “The Reds,”
is a Native American tribe. “The Millers” really dislike “The Reds” so much
that they end up shoving John (a Red) into a mill’s wheel pit where he is
shredded to his death.
The
poem is a Marxist view due to the fact that it is a fight between two different
classes of people. You really start noticing the Marxist point in the first
stanza and it carried on from stanza to stanza.
