The Wood Pile
Michelle: The first part of the poem is a man walking through a frozen swamp. He then runs into a bird,
which he later forgets about and stumbles upon a rotting woodpile. With this the poem is meaning that you forget people in
life and you may hurt others feelings without them knowing. And the rotting pile is referencing to the friend you have hurt
in the past.
Amanda: The man is walking through a frozen swamp. He considers going back but decides not to and to continue.
A bird flies ahead of him, interacting with him cautiously. Then the man comes to a woodpile, when he forgets about the bird.
He wonders who made the pile and why that person left it there to rot.
